Work that has a purpose.

We partner with a limited number of companies per year to solve problems or create opportunities that improve the lives of women and their families.

Diversifying workplaces

Redesigning
the way we work

By 2030, it is anticipated that 20% of jobs will be eliminated by automation. Women, people of color, veterans and low-income families will be the demographics most impacted. And the effects will live on for generations if we don’t do something about it now. That’s why we’re partnering with technology organizations to help train and support underrepresented groups in the industry before it’s too late.

Improving healthcare outcomes

Ensuring everyone
gets the care they need

Pregnant women in the United States over 40 are 7.7 times more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes than women under 25. The healthcare industry oftentimes puts processes in front of people, and we want to change that by putting people’s needs at the core of patient care.

Our founders, Amber and Kai-Saun, had a near-death experience when they were delivering their son. And that’s what inspired them to start Tote + Pears.

Education for all

Making education accessible
to everyone, everywhere.

Only 67 percent of students with disabilities graduate from high school. A strong education can be life-changing — creating opportunities and leading to career advancements, shifting people out of poverty and reshaping entire generations. But the system isn’t always designed to meet the needs of everyone.

We want to change that by making sure everybody — regardless of ZIP code — has access to a high-quality education, and that they are nurtured, supported and able to flourish wherever they go.
