Amber Anderson is the co-founder and CEO of Tote + Pears and MORE, a community that helps working parents enjoy both family life and business. Amber brings more than 13 years’ experience in scaling organizations and managing all areas of the product and service lifecycle. Her experiences have created a portfolio that makes or saves her clients more than $1 billion per day.

She has a background in business analysis, strategic planning, marketing, user experience and product management and growing successful companies. She started Tote + Pears (formerly named Kayson) in 2012.

Amber, and her husband Kai-Saun, launched T+P after their son was born 9 weeks prematurely. After weeks in the NICU, Amber's maternity leave in a leadership position at a growing tech startup was over — but she wasn’t ready to go back.

“My son couldn’t see or hear, and it was time to get back to my desk. I was torn between my desire to be by my son’s side and the fact that I was the breadwinner for my family.” she says.

Amber used her skills to create a company that would help businesses and business owners create great products for women and their families.

She has led multi-million-dollar projects for Apollo Education Group (formerly Apollo Group, Inc), Edgenuity (formerly Education 2020), The University of Kansas and more.

Before to starting T+P,  Amber was the director of technical product management at Education 2020, where she led the organization’s first technical product development team and created it's product roadmap. Prior, she oversaw all technology services (IT and engineering) for Apollo Group’s Global subsidiaries.

Amber has been featured in a number of media outlets, including NPR, Forbes, American Express Forum, the Huffington Post, the Young Entrepreneurs Council (YEC) and Business Collective.

She is often asked to speak regularly to organizations and businesses where she shares insights on product development and marketing to women, work and life integration, and her experiences as an African-American woman in technology.
